A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sponsorship/PR/Events professional to to develop and execute the PR, Sponsorship and Events programme in support of business initiatives and increase brand awareness. This role will report into the UK Marketing Director. to develop and execute the PR strategy in support of business initiatives to look out for opportunities to raise the profile of the business such as thought leadership and partnership events.
Raise brand awareness and drive brand engagement
Working in partnership with the digital acquisition team you will be responsible for driving new consumer acquisition to JUST EAT
You will be ROI focussed and will be responsible for reporting back on market insight to drive ongoing development of the Events function, including strategic planning of event activity to meet current and future needs
Consumer PR strategy development and driving engagement – drumbeat (data-led) and pillar PR activity
Reactive UK press office aligned with Head of Corp Comms
Proactive consumer and TR story development aligned to brand purpose, narrative and key messages
Development of amplification platforms of core marketing campaigns
Development of experiential platforms to drive increased engagement
Management of key trade relationships (eg British Kebab Awards/ PAPPA’s/ACF) and key publications
Regional and national TR roadshows
Takeaway Expo / Restaurant Show / Casual Dining Show ownership
British Takeaway Association concept development, formation, launch and management
British Takeaway Awards ownership and execution
Development and execution of consumer and TR sponsorship strategy- working closely with Marketing Comms and Partner marketing team and aligned to core brand purpose
Required skills and experience
Inspiring and driven PR professional with prior experience in the Tech/B2B space.
A strategic thinker, who can translate insights and strategy into concepts.
This will be combined with a strong understanding of sponsorship strategy and event delivery
exceptional relationship management skills and the proven ability to work with and influence senior executives and senior external stakeholders.
Prior budget and people management experience.
Proven track record in leading a Marketing team and driving a high performance culture.
Strong commercial acumen demonstrated through past experience and an understanding of the B2B2C operating model.
Ability to think strategically and develop, communicate and implement a compelling vision and plan.
Strong commercial acumen/business sense and ability to forecast shifts in our marketplace.
People management skills – mentoring, coaching, performance management , able to spot and develop talent.
