Kazakhstan extends visa free programme in pilot
Getting a visa to attend Kazakhstan has in the past been a rather drawn out and costly procedure for non CIS passport holders. Earlier this month the government decided to trial a 1 year pilot allowing 10 countries visa-free entry in to the Central Asian country. It is hoped that this will increase tourism and business trips in a bid to boost this oil rich country.
Citizens of the following countries are now eligible to stay for up to 15 days in the country without a visa: UK, US, Franc, German, Malaysia, Italy, Netherlands, United Arab Emirates, Japan and South Korea.
The pilot is due to end on July 15, 2015.
