QuickMobile Recognized by BCTIA for Technology Leadership and Performance
VANCOUVER, B.C. – June 5, 2014 – For the second consecutive year, the BC Technology Industry Association (BCTIA) has recognized QuickMobile for its technology leadership and performance. The company today announced that it has received the Technology Impact Award (TIA) for Emerging Company of the Year, which is given to a company (more than three years old) that has growing revenues, is on track according to its business plan, and has demonstrated outstanding performance as a technology enterprise. In 2013, QuickMobile produced thousands of event apps with more than 300,000 event attendees using the apps each month. QuickMobile also increased staff by nearly 70 percent and opened its European headquarters in London.
“Mobile continues to be an evolving technology space, with solutions and services that were unthinkable only a few short years ago,” said Patrick Payne, CEO of QuickMobile. “We are at the forefront of mobile innovation for the event industry, and still a young company with room to grow locally and internationally. Being recognized by the BCTIA for our leadership and performance in the market means a great deal to our team and further validates our efforts. We appreciate the continuous support that we receive from the B.C. community, which has been critical to supporting our needs as a growing technology company.”
“During the last several years, we have all witnessed the dramatic growth that has taken place at QuickMobile,” said Bill Tam, CEO of BCTIA. “From building a first-class team to continuing to develop new products and services that help it stand out in a competitive marketplace, QuickMobile has continued to perform and demonstrate industry leadership. We are proud to recognize Patrick Payne and QuickMobile with a Technology Impact Award for the second year in a row.”
QuickMobile pioneered the mobile event app for meetings, conferences and exhibitions developing the first iPhone event app in 2008 and the first iPad meeting app in 2010. In 2014, QuickMobile has made the Business In Vancouver lists of top software companies and tech companies in B.C., and was recognized recently by the CATAAlliance with the IT Strategic HR Management Award. Late last year, the company also received the prestigious Innovation Award from the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA).
