Every marketer has a community which has a vast network of highly valuable connections. Unfortunately, reaching those connections is nearly impossible through ordinary marketing.
InGo is revolutionizing this by inspiring each community to word of mouth market and grow itself. InGo has recently partnered with a major global event venue to create a powerful new tool for events. We are recruiting for the role of a Business Development Manager, this new role has been created to:
- Solidify InGo’s leadership in the UK as the marketer leader by generating half a million dollars in new business. This will require many things: calling clients, presentations of InGo to marketers and organisers, meetings with potential clients, and following up on leads generated by partners.
- To manage and convert potential new business for InGo; through effective relationship building and negotiation skills, whilst ensuring a smooth handover to customer success team.
- Work to agreed key performance indicators that may include, but not be limited to, an average #s of outgoing sales calls per day, client meetings per week, and client sales appointments per month.
- Maintain working relationship and knowledge of all competitors of InGo and event registration companies operating in the UK . Create bespoke proposals for inquiries within agreed timeframes. Record sales activity and event information accurately on company database. To engage fully with the business including community events, conferences, and seminars in order to positively influence revenue in all areas. Work with the wider team, including the EMEA Managing Director who takes an active role in building our client base, to maximise sales. Represent InGo where required at exhibitions and networking events. To comply with data protection legislation and act responsibly on matters of data disclosure both internally and to third parties.
Demonstrable experience and knowledge of events and event technology in the UK/ Experience of generating revenue and exceeding financial targets. Experience of forecasting sales and working to targets. Commercially aware with a good knowledge of the UK event market. Ability to work within a team while being self motivated. Excellent time management skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills may also be a part of the role. Well presented, with excellent customer service skills and awareness. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels across the organisation and externally. Excellent relationship builder. Tech savvy and computer literate with experience of using a cloud-based CRM. Interest in marketing, specifically social media and its use to promote event attendance.
