An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and organised individual to take their first step into a career within Events Management at an internationally renowned University.
Reporting to the Internal Events Manager, you will work closely with the team and assist them with various aspects of the events as well as carrying out various research, projects and reports. You will also be responsible for the planning and coordination of small catering and room bookings and build and develop strong client relationships.
Duties and responsibilities
General office administration tasks including filing, photocopying and maintaining stationery stock levels
Handling initial telephone enquiries and follow up as appropriate
Inputting event details into database in an accurate and timely fashion
Weekly distribution of reports to College departments, re: upcoming events
Assisting the Internal Events Coordinators with administrative aspects of their events where necessary
Managing small catering/AV bookings for South Ken and the Medical Campuses
Highly organised with an eye for detail
Customer service focussed
Able to demonstrate excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
An excellent communicator both in written and spoken English and have the ability to negotiate
Self motivated, flexible and unafraid to ‘roll up their sleeves’ when required
Salary: £24,780 – £26,570 Operational Services Grade 2a
Full Time open ended position
The standard working week consists of 35 hours, 5 days out of 7
