This dual-strand role has two crucial functions. Firstly, you will provide full PA support to the Strategic Director for Education, Culture and Skills. From diary-management to organising meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes and any other administrative duties, you will enable the department to function efficiently. And secondly, you will plan events for Education, Culture and Skills, with a focus on working with the family of schools to develop partnership activities. You will research and secure venues and catering, using your excellent organisational skills to deliver value-for-money options.
We work collaboratively at City of London Corporation, so to make the most of this role you will be a team-player with the ability to take responsibility for a variety of tasks. Using your impressive verbal and written communication skills to work with various stakeholders, you will build relationships with external suppliers and write reports based on the research you have undertaken. Coming from an education background in which you developed a knowledge of relevant statutory and national policy frameworks, you will have experience of organising events and catering, and managing diaries. You will also have a good grasp of local authority governance, committee and constitutional arrangements and relevant legislation, and an understanding of the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts. Calm, motivated and with great problem-solving capabilities, you will prove essential to the functioning of this colourful team.
