Job description

Reporting to the Regional Director of Sales, United Kingdom and Europe, the Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying new business and cultivating existing business to maximise potential for all market segments in the European market for all Peninsula Hotels worldwide, excluding German speaking countries and the UK.  This individual will be located in the London Regional Sales Office, working with and assisting all VPs and Directors of Sales in this respect, when required.  

Key markets: France, Spain, Italy, Benelux. French speaking part of Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with input into the annual sales plan and implementation for the European market countries as specified by the Regional Director of Sales, United Kingdom and Europe, for all Peninsula Hotels
  • Coordinating and growing the sales from the European market; qualifying, developing, managing and maintaining key accounts in the European market for all travel-related business segments
  • Keeping all account records up-to-date in the database for direct marketing, mailing and account profiling
  • Identifying promotional opportunities
  • Following up and converting inquiries and sales leads into actual business for all Peninsula Hotels
  • Working with travel partners to increase brand awareness
  • Setting up sales goals and strategies on how to achieve required results through both short- and long-term planning
  • Completing monthly sales activity reports and month-end MICE reports, updating sales goal plans and other reports as required
  • Assisting all Peninsula Hotels with sales trips and events in Europe
  • Assisting in the organisation of road shows and attending tradeshows when required
  • Organising and escorting educational trips, working with airlines and partners
  • Collecting, collating and submitting market trend information

    Job Requirement

    • Degree level education or demonstrated further study after school
    • Proven track record in luxury hotel sales (5 years or more) with display of loyalty
    • Experience in leisure sales, MICE, corporate – in this order
    • Passionate about the luxury sector and able to give exceptional service
    • Influential communicator with evidence of delivering results
    • Organised, a good time manager and self-motivated to deliver results
    • Caring and respectful team player, who is also capable of working independently
    • Demonstrable business and financial acumen
    • Flexibility, adaptability and dedication
    • Fluency in English and French
